I think You’d probably be better off taking the time to learn Windows 7. XP is eventually going to get phased out, and more and more current software and hardware are going to be worrying primarily about compatibility with Windows 7. XP is now technically 8 years old.
Otherwise, you may have downgrade rights with what you purchased, in which case you need to contact the manufacturer and tell them you want to downgrade to XP.
And otherwise you need to buy XP separately and install it yourself.
I think You can make Windows 7 look and work more like XP:
Change the tasbar:
Change the theme:
There are ways to get the Luna theme on windows 7, it involves a little work. Check out deviantart for themes.
You can also use the windows classic theme on windows 7.
Give the new features a chance. If you have a good computer that can support aero without slowing it down then leave it on. It gives you some pretty cool graphics. If you dont like the new start menu, get used to using the search bar. Think of it like google for your start menu.
Windows 7 is the future and i am Mr. “if it aint broke dont fix it”. Whenever I am on a XP machine it feels so old to me, feels like 9x.
I think sounds like you want a downgrade from 7 to xp. unfortunately you can’t do that just using the windows 7 installation disk. you will need the original xp installation disk instead
