ive reinstelld windows not long time ago and some of the files ware missing but ive continued any way and after it finishd im unable to use windows media player or play ANY sound at all!!
and i can back up what shuld i do?

Sound driver maybe… I dont thinki you can back up once you reloaded an OS

I think you need to install the software for your sound card.

I think Buy an original Microsoft Windows Xp PRO sp2 bootable cd
or download the pirated one from torrents… the full version of windows has arround 600 mb…

Did you go to the windows components install that’s next to the “add remove” programs window in the control panel. Go there and click everything off and then just click windows media player and reinstall it from there.

Download and install the latest drivers for your sound card from the manufacturers site. Download and install the latest windows media player from microsoft.

try running SFC in command prompt if you have the original Windows Disc else u can try re-installing the sound-drivers

it must be the sound driver..you must reinstall the driver..if you lose your installer..u can download it..

I think Then you did the formating wrong, do it again and follow the instructions.

I think check your windows installer cd,
i think that it caused because of your cd.
change a new windows installer cd
